I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, ACE-certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and I hold a Master’s degree in business. I was first introduced to CrossFit in January 2012 and it changed my entire perspective on fitness. I loved how varied each class is. You never know what you’ll be doing next. These broad-range physical challenges truly leave you prepared for anything. Strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, power, agility, coordination and more…CrossFit hits it all. The ultimate definition of fitness. I was hooked from day one and have been using CrossFit methodologies and techniques with my personal training clients and class members ever since. Results have been through the roof. I am so thankful for the opportunity to share my passion with each of you. As a wife and mother of two small children, I am a very family-oriented person and I consider the gym an extension of my family. I’ll be there for you throughout your journey and through motivation, inspiration, and of course a little perspiration I’m sure you’ll go far.

Brandon Lubawy

I am a graduate of Deer Lakes High School and Allegheny College. I have competed as an athlete all of my life in various sports. During my time in school, I developed a strong passion for fitness and nutrition. Over the next decade my methods of achieving fitness constantly evolved until I found CrossFit. I was training for my third marathon when I was invited by a friend to do a workout. It was the 2012 Crossfit Games Open workout 12.1 This workout's goal was to complete a maximum number of burpees in 7 minutes. After years of workouts that lasted hours I couldn't believe how much 7 minutes could hurt. From that day on I was hooked. I was amazed by the results of CrossFit's constantly varied and intense workouts. After a year into CrossFit, I wanted to take my knowledge and growth as an athlete to the next level by becoming a Crossfit Level 1 trainer. Now coaching at CrossFit RITE I get to do something I truly love. I am blessed to have an amazing wife and son. My family comes first which makes it that much more important for me to get the most out of a few workouts a week. I have learned to get the results I want through proper nutrition and supplementation. These areas can make a huge impact on your results so please come to me with any questions. Now chalk up and lift something heavy!


I started CrossFit in January of 2012 to improve my overall fitness. Prior to that, I was a serious long distance runner. In September of 2013, I received my Level 1 CrossFit certification and began coaching that November. I am also a CrossFit Endurance Coach and Level 1 Pose instructor. I have a passion for endurance sports and have trained athletes in Pose running technique as well as programmed them for races of different distances and even triathlons. Additionally, I hold certifications in CrossFit Kettlebell and Olympic Lifting.

Apart from coaching CrossFit, I am also a Physician Assistant and have worked over 10 years with an Orthopedic Sports Medicine practice in Beaver. I have a master's degree in Orthopedic Surgery and I also work in several local Emergency Rooms.
One of my more important and cherished jobs is as a mother. I have two amazing boys that I have been blessed with. You will likely see them at the box as they are becoming big CrossFit Kids fans.
I live by the motto, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I have a passion to help others overcome their fears and self-doubts. I want to be that positive energy that surrounds them and builds their confidence. I'm looking for to working with the great athletes at CrossFit RITE!


Gary Tsai

When I first began doing CrossFit back in November 2011, I had no idea that it would change my life. It didn't happen overnight of course, but something about battling through countless WODs with people I've come to consider friends has slowly but surely made significant impact on my life: I am faster and stronger now than I've ever been thanks to CrossFit and it's been a fun & meaningful process because of the incredible community that we're all a part of.

Indeed, CrossFit has become a passion of mine. So much so, I acquired my CrossFit L1 Certificate so that I can share my passion with others now as others have so graciously shared with me in the past. I look forward to working with each and every one of you and helping you become the best you can be!

Shelly Perko

Fitness has always been a part of my life – whether I was making up routines in my bedroom or playing a team sport, being active was a passion. I found CrossFit three years ago and it’s been my favorite way to stay active since! I love how it can be a person’s way to spark a healthy lifestyle, or how people can use it to improve upon other activities in their lives. Ask any runner – since CrossFit, we have better race times!

While my career started in advertising, throughout those five years I trained part-time and held “happy hour boot camps” for my coworkers. Two years ago, I changed careers completely to coach CrossFit full-time and do personal training. I have my CrossFit L-1 certification and also the ACE Personal Trainer certification. I have specialty credits in pre- and post-natal fitness as well. I’ve worked with elementary-aged kids, high school athletes, and adults of all ages. Watching members and clients get stronger, healthier, gain confidence, and change their lifestyles for the better is the most rewarding part of this career.


I have a wide variety of life experiences that have taken me all over the world, including serving as a Special Forces Combat Dive Medic in the United States Army and now as a civilian Contractor in Afghanistan. I have a passion for health and wellness and live CrossFit as a true part of my life and who I am. My wife, Sharla, and I recently relocated to Cranberry Township to be near family and I found a new home in CrossFit RITE.

Being fit for anything that life has in store for me has always been very important. After returning home from military service, I would “work out” regularly. Two back surgeries later, I knew that I needed to find a better way to be fit because the old way was not working. After being introduced to CrossFit in the summer of 2010 and applying their philosophy of diversified, functional, high intensity training, I knew I found the better way. I received my certificate as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2013 and OUTLAW Training in June 2104. I have experience in several different aspects of healing and realize the importance of training the entire body as one functional unit working together for a common goal. I have a passion to help improve people’s quality of life by supporting and educating anyone willing to listen about the human body and how to help repair/strengthen it through natural options and the CrossFit philosophy. I am really excited for the opportunity to work with athletes and coaches here at CrossFit RITE!

(Coach Stew will be with us for two months at a time. He works the other two months in Afghanistan.)
