I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, ACE-certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and I hold a Master’s degree in business. I was first introduced to CrossFit in January 2012 and it changed my entire perspective on fitness. I loved how varied each class is. You never know what you’ll be doing next. These broad-range physical challenges truly leave you prepared for anything. Strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, power, agility, coordination and more…CrossFit hits it all. The ultimate definition of fitness. I was hooked from day one and have been using CrossFit methodologies and techniques with my personal training clients and class members ever since. Results have been through the roof. I am so thankful for the opportunity to share my passion with each of you. As a wife and mother of two small children, I am a very family-oriented person and I consider the gym an extension of my family. I’ll be there for you throughout your journey and through motivation, inspiration, and of course a little perspiration I’m sure you’ll go far.

Frank Swick - Full Time Coach/Owner
Frank has a diverse background in athletics ranging from Football to Baseball to MMA. Following college, Frank spent over 5 years working in product development for GNC before leaving the corporate world to chase his passion of coaching. Now he brings his leadership, charisma and experience to our vast coaching staff.

“After the void of post- collegiate athletics and the hunger for a competitive atmosphere, I tried CrossFit and was hooked from workout one. I began training CrossFit in a garage and ended up following that love to an affiliate. After seeing the passion and desire CrossFit created in people, I immediately knew I wanted to become a coach and help others reach their goals. I'm always searching to find new training methods and exercises to make our athletes better. I have spent over 2500 hours of hands on coaching over the past two years and seen so many positive changes in the mental and physical strength of my athletes. I am a full believer that a strong community and experienced coaching can provide incredible results. My goal is to help CrossFit RITE be the best option for those who want to live a longer, healthier life, anyway I can.”
Mike Reeves- Full Time Coach
Mike is a former Division I baseball player who currently co-operates the Steel City Black Sox. Mike has played and coached baseball for over 20 years and naturally transitioned to CrossFit as his training regimen. Through CrossFit, he is able to stay in shape and do what he’s passionate about — helping people become the best version of themselves.
I started CrossFit in January of 2012 to improve my overall fitness. Prior to that, I was a serious long distance runner. In September of 2013, I received my Level 1 CrossFit certification and began coaching that November. I am also a CrossFit Endurance Coach and Level 1 Pose instructor. I have a passion for endurance sports and have trained athletes in Pose running technique as well as programmed them for races of different distances and even triathlons. Additionally, I hold certifications in CrossFit Kettlebell and Olympic Lifting.
Apart from coaching CrossFit, I am also a Physician Assistant and have worked over 10 years with an Orthopedic Sports Medicine practice in Beaver. I have a master's degree in Orthopedic Surgery and I also work in several local Emergency Rooms.
One of my more important and cherished jobs is as a mother. I have two amazing boys that I have been blessed with. You will likely see them at the box as they are becoming big CrossFit Kids fans.
I live by the motto, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I have a passion to help others overcome their fears and self-doubts. I want to be that positive energy that surrounds them and builds their confidence. I'm looking for to working with the great athletes at CrossFit RITE!
Nick first turned to CrossFit to help him train for endurance racing. He enjoys competing in marathons and triathlons, and CrossFit keeps his training balanced and his body injury-free. For Nick, functional fitness is a way to maximize physical potential, and it delivers a longevity in sports and fitness. He loves seeing people benefit from it in real life, outside of the gym, and strives to help others achieve feats and goals they previously thought impossible.
She just loves CrossFit. Period.
Travis is an accomplished athlete — he was a Division I baseball player at Cleveland State University, where he also obtained a B.S. in Education in Exercise Physiology. He continues to play for the nationally ranked Steel City Black Sox. Today, he is passionate about being the best CrossFit coach possible. What he loves about CrossFit is the way it shows people how accessible the “impossible” actually is, with dedication and effort.
I am a graduate of Deer Lakes High School and Allegheny College. I have competed as an athlete all of my life in various sports. During my time in school, I developed a strong passion for fitness and nutrition. Over the next decade my methods of achieving fitness constantly evolved until I found CrossFit. I was training for my third marathon when I was invited by a friend to do a workout. It was the 2012 Crossfit Games Open workout 12.1 This workout's goal was to complete a maximum number of burpees in 7 minutes. After years of workouts that lasted hours I couldn't believe how much 7 minutes could hurt. From that day on I was hooked. I was amazed by the results of CrossFit's constantly varied and intense workouts. After a year into CrossFit, I wanted to take my knowledge and growth as an athlete to the next level by becoming a Crossfit Level 1 trainer. Now coaching at CrossFit RITE I get to do something I truly love. I am blessed to have an amazing wife and son. My family comes first which makes it that much more important for me to get the most out of a few workouts a week. I have learned to get the results I want through proper nutrition and supplementation. These areas can make a huge impact on your results so please come to me with any questions. Now chalk up and lift something heavy!
Katie loves what CrossFit has done for her physically and mentally. An avid runner, Katie has completed over 75 races, including 12 marathons, 20 half marathons and 7 Spartan Races. CrossFit has improved her running, kept her training injury-free, allowing her to fully pursue everything she is passionate about. As a coach, she loves to motivate others, encourage them to pursue happiness through health and fitness, all while having fun in a community environment.
Ron strives to always learn new things. When he came across CrossFit, he found that there’s always something more to learn when it comes to functional fitness. In trying to become the best CrossFit athlete he could, he wanted to share all his knowledge by helping others become their best athlete. Before CrossFit, Ron was focused on endurance running; he’s run 10 marathons, 16 half marathons, 7 Spartan races and a many number of other races of varying distances. He also played intercollegiate club level hockey at the University of Pittsburgh. Today, he enjoys applying his fitness and playing in adult hockey leagues.
Kyle is a lifelong athlete. He has competed in everything from cross-country and indoor track to baseball, then went on to run recreationally. After many years of running, he searched for something different. The atmosphere at Steeltown Strength and Fitness is really what speaks to him; he truly enjoys being a part of the community and helping others achieve their goals
Melissa is a believer in balance. CrossFit allows her to stay connected with her athletic side and continue to progress as a well-rounded, balanced athlete. She played Division I basketball and soccer at Robert Morris University. She is grateful to have found CrossFit as her new outlet, and is extremely enthusiastic about helping others start out on their CrossFit journeys.
